Born in Nicosia in 1983, Cemil Malek graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University, Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Business Administration in 2004. In 2007, he completed his Master's degree in Business Administration at Near East University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Mr. Malek started his banking career in 2008 as an Assistant at the Card Payment Systems Unit of our Bank and continued his career as a Teller Assistant at the University Branch in the same year. In 2010, he was assigned as Göçmenköy Branch Manager and in 2013 as Central Branch Manager. In 2021, he was assigned as the Accounting and Financial Reporting Unit Manager and as of 2023, he served as the Group Manager. As of January 2024, he continued his duty as the Accounting and Financial Reporting Group Manager of the Operations Group.

Assigned as Assistant General Manager as of August 2024, Mr. Malek is fluent in English and is married with two children.
