Mustafa Akpolat, who graduated from Near East University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Banking and Finance in 2006, started his banking career in 2008. Mr. Akpolat, who started his career as an Operations Officer at Near East Bank in 2012, and worked as a Director in the Commercial Credit Allocation Unit in July 2012, as a Unit Manager in the Central Marketing and Product Development Unit in February 2014 and as a Branch Manager at Dereboyu Branch for 8 years as of September 2014. As of November 2022, he was assigned to the Credit Monitoring and Follow-Up Unit; and from this position, which he held as Group Manager, he was assigned as Assistant General Manager as of August 2024.

Born in Kyrenia in 1983, Akpolat is fluent in English and is married with two children.
