Ali Malek graduated from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Industrial Engineering in 1978. He completed his Master's Degree in Economics at Bradford University in 1985 and his Master's Degree in Business Administration from Near East University in 1998.

Ali Malek, who started to work as a Tax Inspection and Account Audit Officer in the Tax Office in 1980; He worked as a Planning Specialist at the State Planning Organization in 1983 and as an Industrial Specialist at the Ministry of Industry in 1985. He was appointed as the Head of the Economic Planning Department of the State Planning Organization in 1995 and as the Advisor to the Minister of the Ministry of Economy in 1999. Ali Malek, who has been a lecturer at Near East University since 2000, has been working with Near East Bank Ltd. since 2008. He continues to be a Member of the Board of Directors.

Born in Paphos in 1954, Ali Malek speaks English very well; He is married and has three children.
